Location: Gloucester | it column bolts straight in, but the wiring is totally different. it is not straight forward.
this is why i kept the r100 stalks when I swapped my metro to r100 wiring for the 18 conversion, i would prefer the metro stalks (as i fitted the illuminated icons from the early metros or LDV vans) and I like the OEM look. |

Location: Bromley, Kent | I suppose it could be done if you got a body loom from a GTi. The LDV illuminated stalks would be a must though!

| Interesting thread, sorry to jump in but I have been thinking about swapping the column in my Rover 100 for a Metro GTi column I have in the garage but using the original wiring and stalks (reason being I have a Momo boss to fit the Metro threaded column but it won't fit the later Rover pattern, I'm too tight to source another boss at £60'ish)
is this a viable idea? Just swapping the actual column? |
