Tube was about £300, plate for the feet was about £20 and I made my own pipe bender.

looking good - such a clean shell!
regarding your car spit rotisserie thing - i'm thinking of making one - is the car top heavy when on it? it doesn't look like you've offset the weight of the roof at all.

Its spot on, theres a lot more weight in the bottom of the car than there is in the roof. It became a little top heavy with the rollcage in.

you couldn't do me a favour could you? next time you're down the garage, could you measure how tall your spit is from the floor to the pivot? my guestimated dimensions lead me to believe it needs to be at least 1050mm from the floor, but would be nice to know what yours is.
also can you remember roughly how much clearance you got between the floor and the lowest point of the car? (that'll probably be when the car is upside-down but diagonal)
cheers mate

Well about time i finished this off seems the car is done!

Finishing the car became a little more important the updating my journal so i'm going to overwhelm the post with a load of pictures now from this point to the finished article. enjoy

All the panels painted and fitted

Stickers

Bonnet catches

Engine in

Seat and dash in

Lights bumper etc on

Ready for racing!
