Location: Cornwall | they would help but wouldnt really be necessary, many cars have steel or plastic ones which wouldnt conduct heat as well as any ali one,
im sure this could be done but it would be expensive, or very very time consuming!

Location: birmingham | I made one for my car about 4 years ago.
But iv gone off the idea of the Crome look naw.
I just used a sanding disk on my grinder And ground all the fins off.
Then I took it to a local place to get it polished.
It's easy lol. |

Location: Gloucester | the early 8v K-series from 1990 to 1992 the cam cover is plastic!
buy a cam cover from a scrappy and get a local machine shop to do it for you. Take them about 5 minutes in their lunch break! |
