Fish freak! MP Admin Posts: 14989 Location: Birmingham | Morning Guys. Thought it would be a good idea to get a list together of all the insurers we use as we all know its getting harder to get reasonable quotes now (plus im stuggling myself to find affordable insurance on the GTa) and we do get a few threads on this. The List: Adrian Flux Performance Direct Sky Insurance Admiral (Don't cover engine transplants) RAC Insurance Graham Sykes Chris Knott Equity Red Star Greenlight Brentacre Footman James (For under 25 classic insurance) Cheers Andy

Fish freak! MP Admin Posts: 14989 Location: Birmingham | Thanks for adding so far guys. Best thing i can think of doing is ill update my original post with all of the names of the insurers that come up in this thread and then we can all leave comments about them in posts below, so people can first off see which insurers are out there and then see what we think of them after. Dont really need any posts about how expensive a company may be because its different for every single person but posts like the above are very helpful/useful

Expert Posts: 6619 Location: Guildford | Graham sykes and cris knott are good for mods. I've just insured with Tradex, family fleet of 4 cars 2 drivers, no real modifications though but I hear they are ok with the basics like induction kits, exhaust, lowering etc.

Is that for standard performance cars mate? I had a ring back from Herts Insurance (HIC) today but they go through to the Adrian Flux line so that was abit pointless lol

Token A Series Posts: 630 Location: Leicester | Tesco Insurance have just paid out to fix my car, at a cost of over £800, you do have to argue with them though, and fortunateley the assesor that came to look at it knew what it was. the manifold was broken in 5 pieces, and they gave me £250 to source my own. (which i had in my shed!) I wouldn't trust Adrian Flux as far as i could throw him (have you seen their offices?) a mate of mine had an s reg vw van/camper with an agreed valuation cert for £3500, it got smashed into by a lorry and they offered him £600 write off for it!!!!! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=133592445830&set=a.212845760830.176625.693895830&theater Edited by niksutty 4/4/2011 2:26 PM

Lotus powered R100 MP Admin Location: Torbay, South Devon, UK | Sykes quoted me happy.. but missed my SP30 out.. In the end I paid the £130 extra that Flux quoted me on the basis I'd left it too late & they already had all my stuff on file. £495 isn't too bad for a modified car though.. still over £500 cheaper than one of the two that confused.crap threw up (one was over 2k! ) I'll definitely look at it earlier next year & go with Sykes.. they're more local as well

MP Admin Posts: 8747 Location: Greater London \ Essex | Greenlight on one and a clasic policy (name escapes me atm) both through Flux. Can't understand how you lot do modified cars for £495... I was lucky to get £600 on my 1.4 ZR with 5yr NCB... everyone else was quoting £1k+
