So I've nearly done the engine now. Just flywheel cambelt and waterpump left to do. This is how it will be looking

Some allen head bolts would look really nice on the cam cover instead of rusty bolts. I'm sure there is a kit/ set you can buy for K. Maybe 'for' MGFs.

Got the car back from welding Sunday night from R100_vvc. Top job as always. He pumped the front up a bit more as it dropped a bit once everything had settled. he even cleaned it for me which saved me a job and sorted me out with some 048r Yokohamas with a little bit of life left for the track. So massive thank you to him for that
I got the bumper sprayed red whilst it was there and very pleased with how they came out as I used rattle cans! Had a set back with the engine so will be fitting that at the end if the month. Only photos I didn't get was of the inner arches and subframe mountings after welding or before. Going to start putting it back together inside just need to sort the wiring out for the battery so I can relocate that to the boot

This bit was in the back at the drivers side rear arch (didn't realise had gone)

And finally the bumpers just the splitter left to do and they can go on

Thanks

Yea I will be as the bottom of them are dented on both sides like the welding hasn't been done properly and has warped them plus Sean said that the sills at the back are starting to go so will do it all together but I'll get the rest of it all done for now mate

So I've needed something to take my mind off things recently so decided to crack on and get a lot done on the metro I the flywheel loom and yellow band steering rack and started the engine change and some body work on/around the engine bay.
I've waxyol the floor inside, inner arches and will be doing the underneath before the exhaust goes back in. Engine is ready to go in with new gaskets, clutch, waterpump, cambelt, down pipe and the MGF radiator I believe had only done something around 3000 miles so near new.

Hopefully have the engine bay painted C.O.F (orginial colour) tomorrow and the engine in the subframe ready to go in Monday morning!
Haven't got pictures of a few things but will get some more for during the week and upload them at some point

here's the pics off the progress so far

So engines in and been running fine for past week only thing left is the bottom ball joints and tracking then all done.
I will be spraying the front red before POL and getting another set of red bumpers end of the month
I've ordered wind deflectors and should be here by Wednesday

I will be doing it red so it's all matching soon. Also should be getting MGF balljoints soon but I ended up getting a tattoo for my mum last week so that set me back.
