Bought this a few months ago so thought i'd start a thread.

Here is what i bought:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-ROVER-METRO-114-GTA-RED-unfinished-project-WITH-A-1-8-converstion-/130801175921?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1e745b8d71

The paint is truely special it has a hint of blue pearl and some gold glitter on the red and the parts that look black are in fact dark purple with gold glitter. It looks like it has done a ram raid on WH Smiths.

The paint is pretty orang peely too and the exhaust was just comical

Here it is anyways,

Ive sorted some of the wiring given it a bit of a tidy up, fitted the rear fog which was cut off and fitted a full exhaust system from manifold.

More updates to come when i get more bits,
ding

Thanks Ding,

It sits very low on the front but not the rear. i will definately let you know, Just waiting to sort the brakes out at them moment and then see what it fails MOT on.

The other problem i have is that the indicators work on front and back and so do the hazards but the side repeaters do not work with either indicators or hazards. ive change the bulbs but no joy so i guess its a case of tracing the wires forwards ??

Put 3 of the wheels wheels on (other two are silver so got to get them powder ocated):

Not sure whether to keep them gold asthey are growing on me.

How much are my standard wheels and interior worth? (i have a set of 5 wheels with good condition tyres)

interior seems in good condition but i'm going to put my buckets in it

MGZS brakes added with 262mm discs

They are tight but do fit although may have to run wheel weights on the outer edge of the rims and it looked too close for caliper clearance.

Wheels look good on it mate. I quite like the gold tbh, a bit different to the usual silver, grey and black.

Thought i'd have an update, found some rot:

It about half way through being welded up though

Inner and outer sills both sides and both front floors, plus a couple of patches under the wings and some behind the fuel tank

Have bought an mgf rad, a rear brake conversion and looking at more goodies too.
