How simple a job is this? .. if I remember correctly .. is the the measurement of the door speakers 13cm? and the rears 10cm?

the reason is .. they sound pretty much crap. I'd rather not kit it out with a sub and an amp .. I just want to upgrade the door speakers and the rear speakers for ones a little .. newer ...

cheers

I think there's a good How-To on the main site that tells you how to modify the original fittings for the front speakers so you can fit newer ones without having to cut through the door bin grills.

Sizes are 13 and 10

Keep original front speakers. Fit crossovers and tweeters then amp them using a 2 channel high input amp and they sound excellent. Front speakers are actually 16 cm

No they aren't.

The guide is good, easy enough to do and should make a different over the standard ones

The guide worked for me now have a set of FLI speakers in the front and they are 13cm not 16cm.

If your keeping the original black holders then be careful if buying two way speakers as some of the tweeters stick out and wont fit under the door pod.

I was lucky with mine, got away with about 2mm

Little late into this I know, but I fitted my Vibe Slicks over the last few days, and ended up cutting the door bin grilles out to make room for the tweeter & cone. It sat behind them, but if my music was up the cone would bounce off the grille making them go bwaarp... Lol.
