I am painting the wheels black in the centre then polishing the lip on the spi's and the mpi's i have,

Yes i did the cage myself apart from the welding which my dad did.

I have fitted the passenger seat and fire extinusher, just need to fit the bucket seat and harnesses soon, so ill get some more pics up

Yes, i have the side skirts and front splitter off a gti but ill leave it with no rubbing strips.

Bloody hell, when i collected the Wheels it looked nuthing like that, floors look 1000x better and that cage looks Mint mate, coming on nice lovin it mate

As nice as the cage looks it'd be useless in a crash, rear diagonals need to goto the top of the main loop, and it should also be alot closer to the b-pillars, otherwise a good job and nice progress, will be a nice motor when its done.

Yes the roll cage would be ok in a crash but thats not really the point of it. The diagonal bit is welded under the hoop for a reason. This is just the start, i made this basic cage just for this year while i have a low power engine. Next year i will be extending the cage to all the subframe mounts front and back to make the cage part of the car. Chassis stiffness is the future aim, hopefully im not going to be a crash test dummy,lol

Fire extinusher is plumbed in now and the TF top arms arrived today, so ill be fitting them even if its raining

Ill take some pictures of the built up subframe when they im done, happy days

I have fully built the left side suspension, now i have a problem... the bolt is totally seized in the tube that goes in the wishbone bush. I have rang most car parts places and the best i can get is one on tuesday. What a bummer, i wanted to get the engine in today
