Titanium adjuster to go in the middle of this thingy, just need to get a nut welded on to the middle and a few lock nuts.

Well no pics but have news, ordered a fast road kent cam today, plan is to be non 4x4ish like the original but not to crazy as to make it non everyday useable, should be in on monday.

also got the outer boot skin pulled out, bit of repair needed but hopefully have them ready to be stuck together by the end of the weekend. just need to do the repairs an sort out tapping plates for the fixings.

one kent fast road cam, had no luck at all with the performance V8 places, basically they dont cater for the later non dizzy engines enless you want a sports torque one.

the only engine i have got ish deep in to is the A series engine, theres nothing like the knowledge base and easy supply of parts for the v8.... pain int he ass but its all there!

just need followers and timing chain now.

It will be very interesting to see a rolling road print of this when this engine is running also get it on weights when you are done with the fibreglas parts. Will end up having a nice power to weight ratio

set of core plugs, and also some little ali pipe nuts i have made to hold alloy fuel pipe in to an mgf fuel filter, these will remove the need for rubber pipe/jubilee clips an hose tails which my current system uses.

Putting the fiber glass to one side so i can get on with the engine, did a test fit with the fibre glass rocker covers i made ages ago, also titanium valley gasket bolts an cam retainer bolts.

will buy a cam chain kit, piper to a vernier one which i thinks ali, but the only problem is no one knows if it will fit the later 4.6L engine... probly buy it an find out!

once thats sorted i will be able to fit the front cover, design an make the sump, then it will be getting there.

got some goodies in the post today, heres one of them, this one fits the early type v8, however im going to adapt it to fit my later one with a bit of luck.

its also all steel so hopefully remake the inside bit (to fit) from ali an use titanium bolts of course!

I recon it would be a better setup, certainly would have a longer service life than chain/belt! probably out last an engine, but to much work for now, not sure if theres any downsides?

Well I put "timing gear drive" into Google to find a pic...
there was a page with a heading about the downsides!?
Not read it myself...
I'm just aware of the downsides to walloping up to 800bhp through a chain!!

start of the new inside bit.... found a nice bit of 6082 T651 so should be pretty strong.

Got my last little core plugs in properly, also fitted a new wiper motor, had problem with the intermittent with the other but gonna light weight this new one at some point, also wired in a new heater fan resister,

the wiper motors, theres no thread on them, you have to reem a bolt in to make the thread... god they where tight lol.
