Hey there my name is Lloyd and im new to the forum. My car is a rover metro Gsi and im doing some repairs after it failed it MOT sadly on the one thing will dont like RUST but still i love the car and while im doing this im also swaping the egine to a 1,4 16v from a Mg Zr, sadly the 1.4 8v went bang, i need advice with the swap do i use the metro gear box or do i use the Zr gear box?

Location: brighouse just shy huddersfield		Welcome and you can use either but the metro box will be easier Imo.
If it's an mpi it should be easy if it's an spi it's a little more difficult. I'm aware there's a thread on what's what in the technical section

Thanks for you input kind sir and I'm doing a welding course and now I can get it back in to the car the engine that is.
