Not really a fan of K series Metros...
but the BRG, with the red stripes, dropped over MOs, and pop-outs...
can't deny it looks pretty damn good!!
Much tweaking required to fit those windows??

Thanks mate appreciate it , to be honest the windows were pretty easy to fit. i bought a nut riveter of eBay. the holes that are already there but coveted they was only little plastic covers. Took them out, used the riveter to put threads into the holes and then rest is just putting the windows in mate.

Went down to Worthing yesterday to collect two rear arbs dunno what I'm going to so yet might double but in the other hand might sell one. Been waiting for a rear arb for a while and only thing left to complete full GTI spec is front shocks so there next

Thought I'd put this up, 3 hours later after cleaning the car...

Car is has now run out of mot and will need some welding inside to be done, and few other things I wanna do over the winter so it's going to be kept in the garage.

Garage full of metro spares

The GTa 16v project

Both the GTa nice and cosy in the garage

This car was fully welded up by Sean the other day. There is no rust on the car at all now. 6 locations needed welding. Driver's jacking point, passenger jacking point, driver's side rear seatbelt anchor, rear arches in boot and a small patch to the rear the floor pan, not sure what you call it. Haha

Car comes home tonight after being in Cambridge for the last few weeks, will get some photos up when I have removed the head. For the guys that don't know what happened.. I had a suspected hydrolock while driving along an a road in Cambridge. The car poured white smoke out of the exhaust which covered the whole road and came to a hault. Water and oil have mixed and attempted a bump start while was moving and it just died instantly.

Will be looking out for another 160 vvc in the meanwhile

Just a update,

Got car home from Cambridge 3 weeks ago and got hold of a new engine.

On back of lorry in the fog

The engine I now have was Sean's (r100_vvc) old vvc lump, the engine was rolling roaded and pulled 185bhp and done 13.8 on the 1/4 mile.
Spec of engine
1.8 vvc (143 mems 3) port n polished head with piper 270 exhaust cam and 52mm throttle body
R65u GTa gearbox (close ratio)
carbon enclosed filter directed to heater box/bonnet vent
Janspeed exhaust manifold with de cat and Ashley back box

Have also got a lightened r65 flywheel on its way and will be getting a re map after crimbo

Pics to follow

GTa decided it needed a new wheel bearing on the rear passenger side. About 0 degrees outside. How we love cars.

Old bearing pretty fooked.

Cool carpark photos.

The end.

Hey guys long time since I last posted on here. Still have the metro and still loving it. There has been a lot of work carried out since I last posted on here, here is the a list of all the new parts that have been added and or done to My car.

Fully rear end re build, both radius arms replaced, subframe mounts etc, Ralph's drop stop spacers

Full 2.5" stainless exhaust system from manifold back done by long life exhausts

Car has has had a new rear quarter on the passenger side and bother rear quarter's sprayed.

I've gone from r65 to pg1 which now consists of, pg1 brm box with type b diff, ptp flywheel, fully powder coated mgf subframe, car is now fully poly bushed front and back. Red band rack, new top arms, track rod ends, Ralphs engine spacers, gaz adjustable shocks fitted, both front and back arbs have been powder coated in candy red and have all Ralph stainless brackets. Also bought some red stuff lads as old ones had cracked.

I've fitted a sytec fuel regulator which is set to 3.2 bar with a uprated fuel pump which has been hard wired from battery.

Also purchased a set of immaculate compomotives with a yokohamma a539s.

Probably missed a few bits of can't really remember.

Was up Santa pod 2 weekends back and run a 14 dead at 99mph hoping to improve next time as was my first time.up the strip.

Here are a bundle of pictures that show the car how it is now.
