Been pretty slow with this but the engines finally in.
Had problems with the head been skimmed to death.

But itsonlyme sorted me a head really quickly highly recommend him.

Also as i have a tf oil cooler set up i decided to drill and tap that housing to fit the turbos oil feed.

And in.

Also get a banjo bolt for the water feed on the turbo as it will give you a few more mm space between rad and turbo

I think I drilled through 5.5 mm then 8 mm for the o ring and I think it's m16 x 1.5 I'll have to check for you.

Yeah the water feed it tight up to the rad lol, infact its all going to be tight around there.

Did you put your prt after the turbo water pipes from the bottom hose?

I put the feed in before prt in the bottom hose, and exits out into top bleed off hose back to the bottle

Yeah my rad fits fine no need to reverse it, don't know why yours doesn't? Pop round if you have time mate could do with a hand with battery relocation.

Almost there now.
Tf oil cooler fitted

Also decided to go for a prt set up

Little bit of custom piping

Loom supplied by Adriansi (great job)

Had to relocate the battery to boot so decided to go for th F/TF battery to engine cable just the right length.

Ran the cable in the fitting where the hydro elastic pipe were. May put it inside the car at some point.

Using up what part i have i modded the r75 header tank for the charger cooler tank.

And here how it stand now, needs a bit of tidying up.

Just need to sort a bit of wiring and get thing fixed in.

Got it running last night.

It sits at 2k rpm and the dump valve chatters, it did not before so something must not be right.
Just need to tidy up a few bits then back together.

What fuel pressure are you running?, have you set the fuel system up
on a fuel return back to the tank, or returnless fuel as in the R75?

Currently running mpi fuel pump, the metro fuel rail with return as standard also using the turbo injectors.

Your problem will be low fuel pressure, the R75 1.8t runs 4.7 bar fuel pressure as it is returnless, the ecu
will be on a mil on limp home map as it cant open the injectors enough on the main fuel map which is why it
wont idle properly, fit a adjustable fuel reg and wind the fuel pressure up, also I dont think the mpi pump will
be up to the job as its own lockout valve blows at @5bar, so it will be going flat out pressurewise all the time.
it is poss to fit a R75 fuel pump into a mpi tank, (I've done it).

Mpi fuel pump will be shot, fit a Walbro..... And you need a fpr and set to 3.5bar at idle with no vac connected.

I agree on fitting a Walbro, but on a R75 1.8t the fuel pressure runs nearer to 4.7 bar. The ecu can only open
the injectors up on the main fuel map only up to a point. We had one in a GTi that had the same engine/ecu.
The idle was bad and ran rough, we connected a ex analyser up, CO down, HC's were v high (1200), we also connected
a OBD reader and the ecu showed a fuel sync fault (cant remember the exact wording atm). I remembered that the system
ran at a higher fuel press than what was common. looked in the data manual, 4.5bar, as the car was fitted with a Cossie
fuel reg, we just wound up the pressure to 4.5 bar, the idle settled down, CO went to 0.1%. but the HC's dropped like
a stone down to @ 30ppm, as it should be.

Back seat bench out, there is a round plate prob with a chassis sticker on it, this plate gives access to the tank, unplug
fuel hoses and pump/sender plug. unscrew the lid (hammer and screwdriver, just need to tap it around), iirc
there is a return pipe from the other side of the tank that you will need to pull out from the swirlpot before wrangling the
pump swirlpot assy out with the pump inside. There are 2 senders in these tanks due to the design .
The pot can be unclipped to come apart, its fiddley but you just lift up the upper half, keep the wiring from the pump,
you will need it to connect up to the metro wiring.
