Elite Veteran Posts: 788 Location: Sussex | I finally got round to buying a new car, after selling the r100 back at the start of June. Picked it up on Tuesday, needs some niggly problems sorting but hopefully I have got a bargain: 1995 Eunos Roadster 1.8 (S-Special Type 2). Apparently one of 97 made in this colour

"MG Metro 1300" Location: Warwickshire, UK | What I dont get is why on Jap cars with Jap performance parts does the airfilter generally go towards the back of the engine bay? Edited by JamieS 17/7/2008 8:30 AM

I have already replaced that filter with a stock airbox for now, it was too far gone to be any use

Elite Veteran Posts: 788 Location: Sussex | I plan on turbo'ing it, but not yet. It is booked in for 4 wheel alignment on saturday to check that the chassis isn't bent or similar. It feels a bit weird to be driving a sports car which is slower than a metro

Veteran Posts: 378 Location: Gillingham, Kent | supercharging is more common on these engine than the turbo. and imagine listening to it whine as you drive with the roof open!!!

Elite Veteran Posts: 788 Location: Sussex | Of course I knew it would be slower (for now ) but knowing that I used to have a metro which was quicker than this, is a funny feeling. To get back to metro vvc power/weight levels, this car needs to jump from 130bhp to just under 200bhp turbo vs supercharger is a massive ongoing debate on all the mx5 forums, the whine must be nice - for about 10 minutes! I could imagine it getting really annoying? Edited by Andyzim 17/7/2008 11:31 AM
