I have had my Metro 1.1s for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be using alot of petrol, how do I adjust the mixture to make it run leaner. I should imagine it is carb as its no ECU on it and a manual choke thanks for any help.

DONT DO IT
Service the ignition first.
Plugs, rotor, dizzy cap even leads.
Also dont drive with your foot welded to the floor only use full throttle with high revs

Have changed the Plugs, rotor, dizzy cap even leads, as suggested and have taken it for a run to warm up just checked the plugs after and they are black and sooty as is the end of the exhaust so still need info on tweeking the carb.

Have you topped up the oil in the carb?
They can block exhausts as well!

I wouldn't recomend that you adjust the mixture without measuring polution, its very hard to get right.

Maybe the carb is worn and needs rebuilding? Turning the mixture screw is a bodge to mask the problem and not fixing it.
