Well, not much work on the MGB lately, got roped into building an MX5 turbo -

Made the manifold, downpipe, inlet side boost pipe and basically everything involved... but took it for the first drive (not that he had a choice ) and my god its good fun.

But, I did throw one of my rivet on arch's on

And bought a hydro -

And also drained the fuel out of it ready to drop it for ally race cell.

hopefully pull the engine out next saturday and get the new lump in situ for measurements

Borrowed quite possibly one of the sexiest wheels off a mate...

Regret it instantly, because they look absolutely nuts, and now I need to buy them.

Love those gold wheels, look brilliant but still prefer the Rota's (They are Rota's right?).

Yeah they are rota Grid V's.

Im probably going to get the SSR's and run the rota's as skid wheels.... or do something, dont know!

I regret trying them on because theyre so oldschool JDM cool but cant help think I need to buy an old school skyline or 260z to fit them to

"or do something" - Probably the best plan I have ever heard of

Always good to have 2 sets of alloys. However, if they are going to make you buy another car, maybe not the best idea, unless you got the cash and the space then, go for it.

Finally got somewhere today, pulled the engine out -

At start of play

Halfway there -

Oh yeah -

I remember a definition "Engine Crane - A mechanical device used to test the strength of ones speedo cable"

Oops -

Empty bay!

Got the CA block bolted up to the gearbox and did some comparisons, looks like it'll fit beautifully, gearbox is far narrower and the shifter only sits about an inch further back with the engine sat in the "stock" location
