Please can someone help with this issue the rear carpet seems to needs a few holes in for the rear of the front seatbelt mounts to go into and some adjustment round the handbrake but at the front the hole for the steering column is more towards the middle of the car and it won't sit rite where the pedals are any ideas how I can resolve this as I have seen a few ppl have this carpet in k series tro's

They aren't identical, you just have to 'make' it fit using interior furniture to hold it down and a stanley knife (if cut areas are hidden anyway).

Other than that? I dunno spray on carpet adhesive?

It's carpet dude, make it fit. The floor pan on Mk1's and 2's is slightly different, enough that It can be a pain to make it fit, but it does fit. Trim where needed, make extra holes where needed, and use the trim already there in your favour. I used small black self tappers all around to hold mine down, since it was the only thing strong enough to keep it taught. Around the gear lever hole there is 4, and then sill plastic trims are ideal, you can add screws in here if needed and they hide quite well. It's quite a thick shag so you can hide the screws easily.

Mine is in a 5 door which is even more different, but fits perfectly after some work.

Depends is its a mk1 or mk2 metro red mg carpet.

The last MG Metros have the same seat belt mountings are the K-series hence the rear carpet section will fit straight in.

I think the exhaust tunnel may be smaller on the MG metro so the front might be a bit tight in that area on the K-series cars. Means some of the sound insulation may need to be trimmed back to fit.
