How easy/hard is a 1.8vvc transplant in a 97 metro 1.1.its worth getting a full mgf as a donor car.

If the donor is cheap and you have the space it might be a good idea.

But really a donor isn't necessary as you can get all the parts separate

my idea was if I got a mg tf to drive home.i would know it was a good runner and I would have loom ect to hand plus I could sell parts from it to get some of my money back.

the rear subframe, gearbox and engine is the useful part, I bought the parts seperatly.

Also good MG TF still fetch around 750 to 1.5k so if ts tidy I sell the TF on complete, then use the profit to buy just a engine,box off someone.
