Starting a journal for a mate whos car we are currently getting ready for a full respray.

Few pics of how it looked a few years ago





The car has been well used, and apart from the 2 front jacking points the body has not had any other welding until now, which aint bad for a 22 year old metro.

So as it stands now, rubbing strips removed and managed to keep them straight



Rear arch cut out, inner arch was quite rusty so had to use a outer panel to repair.











Rust hole in the windscreen corner

Great work! Loving the picture from Spain! BRG is sorta rare now for GTis. Just seems to be red is all that's left.

thought I dig this up, progress has been slow but steady, the floor pan has been fully checked cleaned paint and undersealed and is very good for a gti.


subframes have been blasted and powder coat in gloss black. All new suspension parts and bolts have been bought, so one day.....
