Got so much to do on it next week that I've ended up having to plan it like a work project

Have done my bit to keep the economy going on eBay getting all the bits and pieces to tidy up the dash \ centre console and wiring which should hopefully mean the HU will fit better at the end. Also sorting out the mounts for the driving lights and splitter so the bumper can then go off to the sprayer with all the awkward stuff sorted out when scratching it a bit won't matter!

Just have to hope the weather holds out for next weekend and PoL...

Had a 6am start on Sunday to try and fit everything in... that's commitment

Removed the black dash to get at the rat's nest of cabling behind, took a good few hours to tidy that lot up with lots of loom tape and cable ties it now looks pretty decent. Feels weird going back to grey again but it cleans up a lot better and the leather trims should darken it down somewhat (just finishing those off atm). Had a bit of a bonus with the stalk controls as they worked using the Alpine adaptive interface rather than needing the extra adapter, well worth getting the higher spec HUs just to get that feature imo.

Cut the grille mesh to size and fitted (looks nice) but didn't sort the foglight mounts or splitter in the end so will have to do that on the sprayed bumper... not ideal but ran out of time and light! Bumper, bonnet vents and petrol cap ring went off to be sprayed today so should have that back by end of the week all being well

Before...

In progress, beginning to wrap cabling up in loom tape and conduit

New dash all clean and SHINNY

Looking much better now...

Updated list as of 26/03/12... still on course for PoL

Exterior

- buy new lights to fit in bumper
- respray foglight bumper and fit with black mesh
- tidy up grille mesh (needs another couple of coats of matt black paint)
- respray petrol cap ring and bonnet vents
Frog splitter for front bumper
- 3D style numerplates - border \ no border hmmm not sure
- finishing touch for silver rub strip area (vinyl text) - in progress
- fit stainless steel shiny bits to engine bay and clean it (for the first time ever haha)

Interior

- fit gyro to steering wheel
- swap dash (again) back to mint grey one with leather trimmed inserts and stainless screws
- fit steering wheel controls and Alpine adapter to get that up and running
- tidy up cabling so stereo fits in neatly (tight squeeze atm with so much additional wiring)
- retrim spare wood inserts in leather
- finish LED lighting for buttons and dash items
- fit retro blinky LED voltmeter into centre console
- fit footwell lighting into centre console
- fit black parcel shelf supports
- fit LED underlighting to shelf supports
- retrim seat trim bars in black material (looking a bit scratched and tired now) - being done this week
- rear boot install trimmed in OEM carpet
- find \ make blanks to fit window winder holes
- rear headrests

Suspension

- 10mm rear drop (finally)
- front and rear ARBs with polybush

Well looky what I went and picked up today

Also had a set of bonnet vents and petrol cap sprayed at the same time... colour match looks good on these so hopefully bumper should be the same once fitted...

With any luck by end of tomorrow fogs and bumper will be fitted, not sure about splitter at the current moment in time as I don't want to mess with fresh paint!

Very productive weekend

Saturday my mate Lee came down and we got the bumper fitted, lights are sitting pretty nice in there now after we bent the bumper bar and brackets to get the right angle. Left the splitter off for now as the car was nearly hitting the floor going into the garage anyway (nosedive central!)

Went up to Sean on Sunday to finally get the back end dropped level, measured it all up and gone for 5mm for now (owing to the weight of the rear seat and audio install) and it looks the business, very pleased with it. Also went out for a run in his Turbo tro... bloooooody hell!

Updated list as of 03/04/12... nearly done!
Only little bits and pieces to do now, interior is back in one piece and looking very tidy with the grey \ leather look

Exterior

- buy new lights to fit in bumper
- respray foglight bumper and fit with black mesh
- tidy up grille mesh - ordering more off eBay to match the bumper
- respray petrol cap ring and bonnet vents
- Frog splitter for front bumper
- 3D style numberplates - gonna have black border and dealer at the bottom I think
- finishing touch for silver rub strip area + stickers (vinyl text) - in progress
- fit stainless steel shiny bits to engine bay (done all the front bolts in stainless so far)

- find \ make blanks to fit window winder holes
- rear headrests

Suspension

- rear now sitting level with front
- front and rear ARBs with polybush

Had some stuff on your wall on Facebook, was originally looking at whether we could do brushed steel look on the inside of the window but having looked at them I think I'm gonna stick with white (on the inside)

Noticed on Sean's stickers that you can do the Metropower text with POWER as just an outline so would prefer that over the solid fill.

Do you have the design software in work? Need to double check if my program can do the format you need so may be easier for the "100" text if you can mock up to the size I've measured and if it looks OK do it that way?

A couple of pics to give an idea of what's coming (dunno what the camera was doing with widescreen format...)
Now the front has lifted up a bit after being pumped up it does need the splitter, haven't measured if it'll hit the kerb yet tho

Interior nearly there...

Great company name, suits me I reckon

Looks so nice now you have lowered it and the new front bumper is very smart to! Get the splitter on there.

At that height I'd struggle with speed bumps around here, let alone with a splitter added on aswell

It actually goes over the bumps better now as the front isn't sitting as low (defo needed the pump up!)
