Just got a phonecall from the police and my garage and 22 others in the lock up have been done over.

All my tools have been nicked progress will be halted for a while now.

It's happening mate... the police won't touch them but there is a few decent blokes down at the garages who seem to be taking it into their own hands... no doubt somebody will end up strung from a tree and beaten to death the way they're talking

Progress? Nope

Got the right side of the engine bay rubbed down and in red oxide ready for paint. There was a lot of paint blisters and general nastyness all over.

and finished with stainless bolts by Ralph. Will paint these... as well as the bay in Nightfire red

Been busy! Fill that wiper hole while you're at it on the boot lid! Mate, I reckon the rub strips are going back on mine, I realised today when trying (again) to get the shit off the panels from where they were stuck down that I took all the f*cking lacquer off the driver side wing Will be colour-coding them though!
Looking good though mate, glad to see that the necessary bits are being done!

Thanks mate

and good to hear... I regretted mine after removing them, it just looks unfinished and not as nice, although when I had them on they were grey... i'll get some from the scrappy soon and do them red

Saying that, I've been scrolling through member journals looking for a 'Tro with coloured bump strips to compare my feelings about having them on and off, and to be deadly honest, I prefer them off - so much cleaner and smoother! But by the same token I'm gonna be smoothing the bumpers over at some point too, and that'll probably result in a respray as the paintwork hasn't been well looked after in the past... Lots of key marks on the doors (even though it has central locking - WHUT) and key marks all over by the fuel cap. Too bad for T-Cut!

Also, thought you might be interested to see this... Some lad I grew up with built this from scratch, pretty much in his garage. Was BRG to begin with with the teeny wheels and rust everywhere, then he fixed it up, modded it and resprayed it in Tahiti... Beaut!

If you're logical about removing the boot then that's a straightforward job and the headlining is just held tight by some super strong tape under a seal Sam, it's really easy to remove without buggering it up and theres a bar that I can't think of the name of right now which keeps the headlining 'erect' close enough at the back to pull it tight and make it look decent again I taped mine back down and used some more tape before painting it just to make sure I could get it looking good again, it looked good as new. :-)

Alex, the wheels are too big!!!!!
