would be quite straightforward? need the 1600 lump, ecu 5as and fob, use the box off the 100? with like a 200mm clucth? a different manifold and downpipe, would it bolt on the same subframe?

If yours is mpi need
Complete engine inlet ect
Ecu 5As and fob off same car (matched)
Gti Down pipe not sure if mpi and spi are different wouldn't think so
Use the engine mounts off your engine and bolt them to 1.6 just unbolt from your engine
Think that's it been a while

If yours is spi it's a little more complex

its mpi, wouldnt havent bothered if it was spi, yeah i know a lump going with the inlet and exhaust manifold included, so quite straight forward then?

Yep, Rover used the r65 for everything 1.6 or less
1.6 will be mint in an r100, loads of power

exactly what i was thinking, it works out easy and cheap to do so, will there be any issues with wiring?

I had I had to fit a Lucas connector to the altennator as it was different , good conversion not stupidly quick but great fun still makes the corsa chavs cry lol

owt upto a 1.8 solid cam (non vvc) is plug and play
