The one you have as an mgb is a midget
the rover is a p6, and the fiat is an X19

Great find.

Mal.

went back there today, i got the best top hose last time i went on the MPI with lowest mileage... all the others look like very rusty so didnt waste time n money if no good. maybe worth getting that one off rimmer bro's? http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-PCP10059 just seems a lot if i go to any other scappys i'll keep an eye out

interesting pictures!!

where is this scrappy?

not suprised the front wheels are missing on that austin ambasador, the calipers sell for around £200 on ebay for mk1 & 2 rally escort upgrades. they use AP 4 pots as standard like the a-series metro but even bigger!

your right that is a Princess, both have the same 4pots though, keep your eyes out for any others, looks a good yard, our local places bales the metros on arrival now due to not many parts selling on them in preference to newer 10 year old cars.

the red belts only fit a 5 door though, due to the angle of the lock weights inside. I bought a 5 door set for my 3 door first and they wouldn't unwind fitted.

377sport, one of tho's rear red belts had been cut i'm affaid and like martin said can only use em in 5 door.

Martin, yeah i saw some 600s, 400's 200's bubble and square, not sure about 25s, 45s and ZR but i was too busy looking at metro's so i could of easily of missed some or mistaken them!
and yeah alot of scrap yards i go to round here scrap them off straight away tho i do know of a few others that do sometimes have a couple such as berinsfields breakers http://www.192.com/atoz/business/wallingford-ox10/sc/berinsfield-car-breakers/c18988b005316013ba086d5d825a12466b220e4e/comp/

If its google earth or maps then there is generally a watermark repeated across the page with a year.. i.e. 2009 etc. I think that's pretty accurate.

Its watermarked 2010 on that spot. Wouldn't be suprised if it has been cleared.

Update from my local yard, http://www.harrybuckland.co.uk/
Rover 100, might be MPi,
red Rover 114SLi auto (still taxed for a few days!)
henley blue Metro A-series, only hubs (complete) and carb removed.
Also Rover620ti, 91k, but hasn't been driven for years.
the purple r100, theres a diesel montego behind it(with the bonnet up) that will have the PG1 speedo cable that people are after.

RH wing looked good,
LH wing very rusty were the bracket it welded (common rust point) and someone has smacked in all the rust as you can see its missing on the pictures.
its low mileage and very tidy apart from the wing. someones had the left fog lamp lens so that must be a metro owner!

I used to live basicly next door to haynes of challow in wantage and recognised it instantly! I go very often

I went there yesterday, and there are about 11 metros all together. One new one aswell, R reg in good condish. Really good scrap yard! Very cheep too!

That rover SD1 was driven in about 6 years ago. I know as i saw it, and as soon as they went away i started it up! Made a beautiful noise, and wasnt in that bad of condition! I got all the stuff like badges and hub nut cover things at home.
