engine still in great shape and still got the stuff i put on in there, tho a lil dirty

apparently it went into the back of a beamer, so gonna have to have the front end off and see whats why the grill and bumper is pushed down

already got a new door from a scappy plus gta alloys

i didnt notice the dent in the fender til i saw it in this picture

inside is pretty much how i left it tho a bit dirty, bottom of seats come up and hasnt got as good a headunit

the boot build has been looked after

stickers are defently coming out!

cheers for that guys those strips are chrome I’m surprised they stayed on after all the exposure to the sun after all these years! Gonna be putting new door on tomorrow hopefully. Here some pictures of the parts I got

Dirty new alloys £40 for five

New old door being filed of rust and primed as it had been stored on ground of scrappy

Cleaned alloys up ready to be restored , trying to decide weather keep them silver, go back or white?? Or maybe dark grey?

Wonder what the best tyres I could get on these babys!? Want semi slicks really : )

Here it is with new alloys propped up against it. Need alloy wheel nuts…

Good work finding the correct colour door!!

The wheels will look great when fitted.

Not keen on all those silver lines,

I would also lift up all the carpets to check for the dreaded rust and water that can lurk below.

Cheers, it was pure luck getting that door was the first scrappy we went to! Gonna be cutting down on some of the chrome, (it was the kinda thing to do back in 05-06 sticking things to ya car I spose?! lol) tho I think I’ll keep the bits around the back lights, what you think?
Yeah was thinking of lifting carpets to see if rust had come though, as i was taking side skirt off today to get dented fender off and notice sound insulation was coming off underneath, was a bit like rust stained and flaking at the edges, so hoping it ent to bad! Also tried to get the spare wheel out today but the fixing nutt had rusted on… ended up having to use a hammer! got there in the end.

been getting fender off yesterday to get the dent out and try and see why the front is pushed down... havent done door yet as need someone to hold it as i unbolt it + i found some more rust on the inside of "new" door at the bottom where the seal goes so been sanding that down and filling it so needs a spray ready to go on. anyway heres some picture of what i been at.

^ whats this thing for?^

^got the bonnet on level now buy twisting it a bit. passenger side headlight is bit pushed in tho, can this be adjusted?

Looks like your getting stuck in mate, but never use the jacking points to jack up a metro especially with one of those shitty scissor jacks. Get a proper hydraulic one on the subframe - it'll save your floors

I second that by experience lol
In fact throw that scissor jack away now haa
Looking good with the canapy thing too, at least when it rains you can get work done

yeah was a bit conserned about using it but really just wanted to get on with it, so think i'm going to be investing in a hydraulic one today! maybe some axle stands to. tho dont think i'll just throw the scissor one away! lol!
the sheet over the top is a ground sheet, i am so glad i got! its 13ft x 16ft so can easily work around the car in the rain, also keeps the bird crap off which is usefull being under trees!

The thing on the inside drivers wing is your headlamp resistor iirc

Looking good, 100% agree with never using the jacking points just incase - ive saw a few jacks magically appear inside the car from doing that

Id keep the wheels silver or gun metal against that colour, both look really nice (Jabba's other half Terri has one in this colour and it had Gun Metal wheels on - looked nice)

Nice bit of hard work... coming on well......

cheers buddy, yeah its getting there. just really can't wait to get the body work back in the condition off when i sold it, tho this would cost a fair bit to do properly with new panels! trying to do this on a budget, so filer and T-cut for a lot of it!

anyway heres a few more pictures off what i been at n that...

^think a missing clip could be one of the reasons for dodgy front end... araldite!! lucky the clip hadnt fallen out of the light fitting.

^where the grey primer is there was patches of light rust.

^ decided to get all the rust off the inside of the door in the end, was going to do the bottom inner edge when door was on car as its stored on the ground but its easier working on it like this i thought.

^ MESS!!

^the guy stuck no smoking stickers in it... but the headliner is stained, cigarette burns in drivers seat and then opened the ash tray to find in full of ash!? so if this guy likes doing the opporsite makes me wonder about the other sticker "think dont drink"... hmmmmmm

^oh and one small thing, had a look at this light thought it just wasnt screwed in proper but it seems to be. maybe he broke it and got a metro one not 100, are they different??

beat me to it tom if you just flip it over it should fit in better

i found that when installing the other rear fog light in, if you flip it over it will fit better (maybe not perfect) but a lot better than it is now

I've also given it a quick wash, and got the headunit like what i used to have wired up, tho i need a alpine cage to fit it.

also given the roof a t-cut and polish as the guy i got it back off put things on the roof, i also think its been sat on! also touched up small scratches

after getting the audio working properly i decided to strip it out to see if i was in for any nasty surprises, good job i did as footwells were full of water!! tho no serious rust, luckly seems i caught it early.

bye bye subby

sorted fog out, the guy i bought it back off had only fixed it in with one screw, the other was pushing it out.

was wondering after i sorted out the rust to put the stuff back in, but after i drove it with just one seat i was so shocked how much of a difference this has made! love it, it handles amazing even tho its on crappy barums!! cant amagine how good it will be with toyo R888's, lower, stiffer suspension, anti-roll bars, shocks, better brakes, exhaust system and a 160bhp engine!!!!!! i really am getting ahead of myself!! lol

theres a few rust spots i been dealing with. the small one in the floor i have now got rid of the rust around it, glass fibre filled it, then body fillered it, seems to be pretty strong!

random bit of rust which i have now grinded down and hammerited, also has a dent where hes hit it shows how good metro bumpers r really i spose, didnt even crack! i now bent the seam back out to stop muck getting lodged in, sanded down the rust hammerited then put tape back on like orignally.

i've also put hammerite on the in side of the wheelarch from inside the car, hopefully this will stop condensation getting to them.

havent had much chance to do a lot of work on the car recent with the weather and long hours at work, anyway heres a little bit more of what i been at...

to get rid of curbing, i gave it a heavy primer then used a primer touch up out of one of tho's kits from halfords which i did in layers depending on how deep the gash, saves alot of spraying!

alloy lent agaist steel, still wondering if i should go darker

got rid of rust along seal then hammerited it

just gotta do the other side now...

the other side was worse so this shouldnt be a problem
anyway its getting there... soon can concentrate on performace bits
oh and i bought a 160 lump, its waiting at lotus for me £500 with 35k miles

Cheers mate, think i'm gonna go for the PG1 tho i hear that the BRM has limit LSD so wouldnt mind one of tho's! but expect that'l be hard to find.
I'm going to have to do a bit more research and see if any of the other rovers/mgs had PG1s with LSD. if not yeah i'll just go PG1
Yours looks good what i see in ur picture, you got PG1?

I really would try and get new metal welded in as the last one is pretty bad, itll only get worse - hope its only a temp fix

Looking good though. the bright silver wheels look good against the blue

Yeah it is a temp fix, as i got a bit of a budget atm, many for the upgrades. When its all finish it may of started rusting again, but should have more money by then to do the job properly. hopefully it should last a while as it will never be driven in the wet.
so you think i should go a lighter shade of silver for the wheels? i saw an alfa the other day with simular style wheels in black, looked real nice. thinking maybe black now tis doing my head in! lol decisions decisions

hey, its been a while since i put anything on so here goes...

alternator packed up in town on a saturday night. not good! got a brand new one in there now

template for carbon fibre door cards

decided on black in the end, in theme of my astra which i'll probably be selling soon

carbon fibre doorcards held on by wheel arch liner clips so no drilling!

new back box, centre and de-cat.

individualised suspension now, 400psi on the back 450 on the front. as it doesnt have anything in the back i thought its doesnt really need as much pressure, the balance seems quite right. oh and sold 1.8 now as insurence is a bit of a killer atm. still leaves something for another day, gives me time to get everything else sorted in the meantime...

been tidying the body up a bit this week...

this corner where the previous bloke had clipped it was doing my head in

so decided to have a go over with plastic primer and a rub down...

not bad for halfords paint, there colours isn't perfect, but i think i've blended it to the shades quite well
better than before tho eh?

Also adjusted the fender and bumper, got it lined up a bit better this time, i also made the mistake of lining the door up with the fender on my 1st attempt, but ah well i'm learning i spose... so had to adjust the door also, tis all spot on now i think

before

also got the bumper more tight and level to the fender by filing the bit where it bolts on to fender (thats been annoying me even before i sold it all thos years ago! )

and some random shots...

I got too many wheels and tyres (got another 5 where i store it! lol) my rents keep moaning bout it, hope to have alloys on by next sun...

a 1.1 shouldnt be this much fun!

my experiment on paint, people keep saying i should loose the badge so if i do i wanna do something a bit different... what do people think?

That grill actually really works!!! Could even work with retaining the badge area also? If not get hold of the smaller rover badge as used on quarter panels of other rover models and mount it on the mesh

cheers for the comments guys
gunna have to pop up the scrappy and try and find a grill now to experiment on ... just incase it don't go to plan! lol!
body work is pretty much done for now, which is good thing as its getting a bit too cold for spraying now ... i need a heated vented garage!! lol
think upcoming job for the winter are going to be getting tho's mgf calipers on and that, anti-roll bars and possibly dampers but need to find some plates for that!!
oh and was well shocked with this lil 1.1 today, got my mate to time its 0-60, did it in 10.5!! thats with my mate in, which makes a
difference in a 1.1 and was running on 95 coz last fill up they didnt have any 99 left which you can also feel the difference with it in as the car is so light!
when i 1st got it back with all the stuff in, crap oil, 2 small holes in exhaust and the catalyst on was timed at like 15secs. so well
impressed! just thought i'ld share this as its kinda my highlight for today. lol

woops... mate, if you read below the picture it was only my experiment on paint! you totally wrecked a grill then?
I got a pretty good idea how i'm going to do it tho, cant really explain. I'm gonna have a look up a scrappys again to try and find a grill to experiment on. If i succeed in making one i'll be happy to make another

hey, i havent updated this in a while mainly because i haven't got that much done over xmas (hope everyone had a good one btw and new year!!) but recently i've managed to get a few things rolling again as weather starting to improve... kinda
Its had its MOT on 4th Feb on which I had to get the cat put back on and a very quick bodgy job to the rear valance! also got that rust by the seat belt sorted with a "nicer" bodge, doing what i seem to be getting the hang of with body filler these days! lol! Anyway it pasted 1st time! only thing on the advisory was no rear belts or seats!
Also finally got some tyres on my newly re-con black GTa alloys, went for original size for these for daily use. Managed to get some GTI alloys from Brett (cheers) which i'm going to re-con and stick 185 55 13s on... (I've now got to many sets of wheels and people are starting to moan )

kept meaning to updating this journal as i went! its been a while... well here's a few things which i been at with the metty...

had the passenger front jacking point replaced professionally welded, strength plate under passenger seat, rear valence, side seals also. also drivers jacking point tidyed up and all work waxoyl'd

front arb and polybush

Got fed up of the lack of audio for weight reduction so kept it as simple as possible - head unit + 6x9s (my ones from back in the day from parcel shelf)

did an AutoSolo at silverstone in May. great fun! did eat my yokos a bit tho. lol. need a rear arb next and dampers methinks. also bucket seats!! lol

New EBC stuff and MGf calipers finally on & goodridge

Yes... all the chrome crap has gone what do ya think?

good work! now thats how you modify a car!

i also agree, the 1.1 is far to much fun, quickest 1100 i have ever driven, no question.

not to keen on the white one tho, but floats your boat and all that.

keep it up =)

yeah, 1.1s metros are a lil nippy, i'm just enjoying the handling and cheap thrills more than anything atm, whilst slowly upgrading it a bit at the time, its good fun seeing how much enjoyment you can get out of a 1.1. maybe one day i'll put a 1.8 in it, but for now i really don't need to, i get all the fun out of it how it is! + its soo good on fuel!
I'm also impressed that its done 72k miles and the only thing thats been done to it was tho's plastic dowl things replaced with steel ones and new gasket at about 30k about 6 years ago when i 1st had it and no problems since then, with all my ragging! also surprised with the amount of neglect the guy i sold it to, don't think he ever got it serviced in the 2 and a half years he had and wrecked it! who says K series are rubbish for head problems!?! it still looks like new with no leaks in any way, touch wood!
anyway was also quite pleased with my 52nd out of 60 in the Autosolo (lol) in the smallest engined production car there (apart from a 698ccT smart roadster!) was pleased to beat 3 MX5s anyway! all good fun.

Just a bit of an update on a few things a got and been doing over the last week or so...

my 1.1 sprung a water leak on the plastic pipe that goes into the back of the engine, so thought i wouldn't waste any more time and money on a 1.1!... so got a 1.8 143 out of a rover 200vi, started it (1st time on a jump pack) before we started removing it. seems to be a good'n
was just a bit of a nightmare getting it out the boot of my astra! lol

got tho's 14' alloys off 'nick-gta', i am pleased with them

also got roll-cage, rear arb and GTi rear cans off 'rocket'.
was tight getting it in, but got there in the end without scratching anything!

oh and got some of tho's stainless steal rear arb links that Ralph made up. pleased with them also just need some polybush for that now

now gotta sort looms (think 'AdrianSi' maybe helping me with this), flywheel, clutch, exhaust and actually getting the engine in. think its going to be most easy to actually drop the sub frame lifting the whole shell?!

awating the engine... ... (just a shame it gets dark so early )

Things i need to get for VVC now are
MPi fuel pump
Diesel, alloy or MGF rad
Looms converted
216 clutch and fly wheel
MPi throttle cable
engine mount? or can the 1.1 be fitted? as looks different angle bolts.

also managed to get engine out of subframe, all by myself in one lump with no engine hoist. lol.

I've sorted the bonnet catch now, its tight but it works. I just wanna concentrate on getting the engine in, but i been sent the wrong flywheel.
where u seen a bonnet for £100 and cheap bonnet pins? the ones i was looking at weren't exactly cheap, but they were lockable ones which i would want...

A few problems have occurred this weekend.
thought i would have a look at this spot of rust on the inside of offside inner arch where subframe connects! wish i hadnt in a way! but a good job i did, got a problem now as it looks too complicated for me to weld and i cant really move the car to get the work done, now just wondering - what should i do!? thinking maybe just hammerite it and get it done straight after the MOT, but that means taking all the subframe off again so prob cost a fair bit for someone to do. or can you get people who actually come round ur house and do welding work?

2nd problem, the garden its kept in at my mates, the massive tree its under has desided to die! and its gunna have to come down sometime soon! really hoping nothings leaked from the tro causing this otherwise they really ent gunna be best pleased! so really gotta get this thing on the road now! no pressure eh!? fook

My inner wing/subframe mount was rusty like yours in the same place both sides, i just plated over it, but when i reconstructed the inner wing i cut out the bad metal and replaced it. Should've cut it out really on the subframe part, but i think i ground it down. Can't remember if i Kurusted it first.

Connor.

got it running last night started on 1st attempt after about 3 turn overs
need to sort the exhaust out now as its bloody loud finishing at the down pipe! was thinking MGF cat as the down pipe from 218vi has 3 bolt fitting and looking on ebay the F looks to have the same fitting and its quite short. Also gotta move the mounting point from the subframe a bit further back.

took some pictures with decent camera. also got new battery today and trim back on and cat ready for MOT, used a MGF one but it touches the gear linkage think needs a bit of heating up and lowering, also joining to the mid box the MGF cat has 3 bolt metro mid box has 2 so gunna need a bit of welding there too hopefully the garage i get it MOT'd will do it before inspecting it

not on the road yet, still waiting for registration to come back, then gotta get it MOT'd. also need to sort fan problem out and get some better top hoses to my rad, i'm not satisfied with the fittings to the small hose to the header tank. the one i got currently is from r25.

7th of aug is USC, n won't be going to this anyway as celebrating gf's bday, unless she's up for going, lol.

Just read the whole journal. Fantastic work mate.

Doesn't it feel so awesome when you do the conversion and it starts and runs. I've never felt anything like it, relief and happiness all at once.

think i may have solved the fan problem now, seems there was a air lock in the thermostat. tho they come on when the gauge gets to 1/4 now so think i need to fit black type of coolent sensor as what came with the engine, got brown atm.
next job is figure out why battery light is on all the time even tho its a new alternator, was going to try and test it today as got myself a multimeter now, but the battery didnt have enough power to turn the engine so couldn't do that test hopefully tomorrow.
made myself a heat sheld in the mean time today tho which i'm pleased with

Cracking journal. Very inspirational seeing a pretty decent job done by your own hands.

Are you mechanically trained or just picked it up along the way?

How is it running?

Thanks Just picked up on the way really working on my own cars as much as i can and helping mates with theres. its a good learning curve tho with trail and a few errors! but its getting there... Think i've got a sticking thermostat now, looks to be a b***h to get to. hopefully this will be the last of the problems for a while tho then i can get it MOT'd and put on the road. also needs the exhaust done as its bodged onto the 1.1 system atm to keep the neighbours happy and the mgf cat rubs the gear linkage.

hoses are tight to get to, bit of a job getting them off, found after lowering tank easy to get at and off

heres the old thing, i dont think they rust proofed it as well as the rest of the car!!

front edge it seems to be coming out

top doesnt look to healthy either

old pipe!

new tank

now got to swap it all all over and hammerite tank. thinking of taking rear sub frame out as new tank will prob get scratched to bit trying to get it back in.

thanks guys tank did get a bit scratched up getting it back in tho and the pipes didnt line up great to the filler pipe so had to get some bars to bend them out a bit, but got there in the end
and you cant have my wheels David tho I do think your car would look very nice with them on!

tank was a bit of b**ch getting back on, had to lower rear subframe and getting the filler pipe back on was even more of a challenge but got there in the end, i didnt manage to get the pipe back in like this

had to put the pipe in place in the arch then slide the big main pipe over with some grease to slide it over. then i thought that was it, she'l be pretty much ready for MOT now, but then notice my brake lights weren't working! checked bulbs, fuses, wires with multimeter so it had to be the switch which it was. wasnt to bad a job to do after taking the seat and steering column cover off

like my mirror to see brake lights?lol

Powerflow exhaust just freshly done ...

waiting for MOT next to classic lil xr2 in top notch condition dont see many around these days, I thought they looked good together

and here she is after passing her MOT 1st time, back on the road and at home at last

but on sunday, was taking my girlfriend home and it popped a pipe off to the heater matrix in the middle of nowhere luckly i had a bottle of water in the back but no tools (sods law, i normally alway carry some in the tro) it gets hot quick i thought anyway and fans still kick in shortly from start up, was thinking its a sensor issue so been fiddling and trying things today, left it running to see if thermostat was problem but front pipe did get hot so dont think its that and there doesnt seem to be any air locks, turn her off checked oil and then took oil cap off to see a bit of steam coming out, so think i have dreaded HGF

Ahhhh dude! this has come on so nice. That 3rd from last picture has the same vibe as the photo of Dans with the drill in it... that thing that makes you realize why you love these strange little cars!

Keep at it buddy, amazing car

The wheels look very nice, i like the ride height although maybe slightly lower on the front would be good
But still it's very clean

Thanks guys!
yeah it is a bit high Connor, I pumped the front up to get it on the ramp for the MOT, tho i am preferring driving it like this as there's so many of thos annoying raised in the middle speed bumps around here, handles really well like for some reason too, maybe the higher pressure. I'm thinking of pumping the back up a bit to match the front, this should make it faster in the real world and takes the stress of worrying about denting my downpipe or anything else away a bit

I'm not sure about the spoiler tho, I think all the fast and modified metros have em, I also like the simple look of the arse of my metro also keeps the weight down a tad + i only got r65 box so i wont be going fast enough to worry about aerodynamics. lol. I do like how yours is looking tho Dan, was what i was planning on doing back in the day with the colour coded fin bit looks good mate

Next jobs-
head gasket and all the bits that are recommended to do whist doing this job, hopefully this will also sort out my fan on problem too.
MPI fuel pump.
re waxseal.
get and fit some front dampers.
fit my rear GTI cans.
and my rear anti roll bar.

had fun driving it today with no probs after bleeding and making thermostat open before setting off, just had the usual fans on problem. Had a few people try to race me, lol. one in a lupo GTi, not a chance! one in a sporty citron DS3 coming onto a dull carriage way, dont think they were expecting it lol. So much fun and its not even got MPI fuel pump in yet or rev counter so going by ear not getting to rev's up to high, love the facts its quick as it is and still got potential

My next jobs are to fit new MPI hoses and new clocks i also got from that scap yard

MPI pump

new resistor from scrappy

in and working

old original was a b**ch to get off, had to snap it off as bolt had corroded so bad and re drill new holes next to them

next jobs, from scrappy
MPI hoses

clocks

just dont know how to get that mileage barrel out as its crimped in without damaging it, i'm hoping to put the barrel off my 110 clocks if possible

bit of an update as not done one for a while, got new Osram night breakers bulbs which i would recommend with a nice white light

old and new:

old original bulbs were getting pretty poor:

new clocks put to the correct milage:

in and working :

a few of the bulbs need replacing (top left and clock):

new tires - falken ze912's, which i'm very happy with can get power down much better now

also pumped the rear up as well now, rides much better now and dont keep rubbing arches when the going gets rough

Also started work with the arb yesterday to realise its not just a simple bolt on after reading the how to guide on here, so maybe have a go later with wheels off and brake drums

Also my mate at lotus has got me a 2nd hand alternator heat shield off an elise so hopefully get that fitted tomorrow aswell along with a new alternator hopefully. the one i got from halfords last Aug the regulator seems to be on the blink! so should get moneys back then shop elsewhere!

all this good weather recently means my tro is running again after buying a scrappy alternator and fitting it on monday it started 1st time after a few months, didnt even need jump leads. enjoyed driving in this perfect weather with the windows down whist booting it under bridges, forgot just how good it sounds!
brought seats a while back, thought i'ld try them sat on the floor think i need to get harness's before fitting them, i also need runners too.
I also had a quick go over with my new polisher today on the sides as they had alot of scratches from going through country lanes, new they look and feel really smooth n shiny now with no swirls, i really need to do the rest now!

new toy

UPDATE: Metro in its new house

Yes nothing has really changed since last time i posted! but i now finally got it back to our new house so i don't have to travel 15miles to work on it anymore! it wasn't so bad when i lived at my parents as it was just walking distance away...
It was a bit of a worry driving it 15 miles on dual carrage way on a shagged alternator! I charged a battery to get it home and had a spare charged up just in case! had to disconnect my rad fan to save every bit of power as i still got the prob of them being constantly on
Anyway since i had it back I've wired in a diagnostic loom (cheers again Adrian!), added a alternator heat sheld ready for a new one and renewed insurance for another year so hopefully things will start moving again, tho now i got a baby you never know! Glad to have it out of the elements this winter and no more weather permiting working on it sessions! yay

YAY! PASSED MOT TODAY! this car has never failed any MOT to date! this annoys my other half as her corsa failed its 1st ever MOT, lol, so like to rub that in.

Also got brand new alternator on and the diagnostic plug works a treat, thanks to Adrian! there were quite a list of errors on the code reader but we reset it and the only error that came up was the coolent temp sensor, tryed a new one and it cleared the code but fans came back on. so gunna go back to my mates garage and try clearing errors again with the new sensor and hope that sorts it.
Car is running like a dream tho, gave it a good run today after MOT, just forgot how much it puts a smile on my face as haven't driven it properly for ages!

What diagnostics did you put it on to read from mems2j? I could do with doing it with mine to find out the probelm!

Hi guys, bit of an update as its been a while
You may of seen it at pride of longbridge (stopped waiting to cool down after reconnecting my fan!) or at gaydon, I wired up the fan to run via switch now and it does the trick when stuck in traffic! Mainly wanted to get this done for some runs at santa pod which i did at the start of july, went well until my brakes started popping!
pics and videos at the pod
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX8uuKTbk3I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhjnLz-JH7U
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdYuKT4hTJ8

Been to the scrappy got two 'new' servos and a master (the 1st servo i tried getting the engine side bolt off but snapped and there was a low milage metro there but missing master cylinder so got that to without snapping the bolt that time!)
This is how the brake situation is coming along so far

the old, pretty damn rusty! poored this black s**t out the servo, not good!

the new:
('new' master bolted up to the decent servo which i had to clean out as had been open to the elements via missing cylinder, also cleaned up O-ring nicely )

also made a new gasket template, getting gasket paper tommorow which i got on order
I have also drill wire brushed rust of the bulk head plate and hammerited tonight, hopefully it will all get finished in the next few days. So more pictures of progress to come...

Just read through this thread from the start, I must say what a nice build it is I like the wheels too! I think your missing two vital party pieces in my opinion though... A spoiler and a front splitter Lol. Its A good build though, good job!

Cool, hope you enjoyed the read and thanks I thought about putting a spoiler but they weigh so much! plus I like the 'simple' look tale gate with it de-badged. Been thinking about splitter and try and keep an eye out when im at scrappys for a decent laguna one, I wanna get some gti skirts at some point too or colour code the standard ones also thinking colour code rubbing strips and handles.
cheers,
