so iv always wanted a metro. and iv always wanted to put a 2.0t into it..... years on i finally bought a metro. then an mgf to put the vvc into.... then while on the tinter web i spoted another metro... a gti!!!with a 1.8 aready in it. well i couldnt say no... so now i have 2

after buying the gti i was dieing to drive it! the guy i bought it off said it smokes abit but i dont think he really let on to just how much. check this out if you want a laugh.

so because of this i decided to rip the engine apart and give the major overhaul it needs so im about half way throught porting and polishing the head at the min. if anyone wants info on how and what iv used just ask i will give you a break down. the main thing with it is time. and just keep telling your self its worth it!! lol

so thats what iv been up to... i will keep updating as i go.

I believe it is also the gti off eBay with the wide arches by the looks of it

yep 5th gear metro and yep wide arch metro with really weird back end. both bargain buys.
reason i bought the wide arch was for gti body kits and the only ones on ebay would have cost 250 for just the skirts. so i got a whole car and all the body kit and a 2004 vvc engine for not much more.. i couldnt say no... 6hours drive there and back to get it but im glad i did.

Well good on you 4 buying em do you think you will be able to put the gti back how it's supposed to be? And the chrome one needs some black wheels I recon

thanks.the gti mite be able to go back its not gona be easy. it mite look like filler in the pic but its been done in sheet metal, its not been badly done but its not great. i think i will finish what was started. plastic dip paint the car as its rather cheap now and see how i feel. but most likely it will go back.
and yes the chrome monstrosity as its been called lol will hopefully have some nice wheels soon. iv got some gsi skirts for it to. its only a 1.1 but you cant knock it on the fuel... it just dont use any lol.
