Thanks for the comments will have some more pics soon other plans are to polybush the car and have body work done, all new back brakes and hand brake cable just realy putting all new bits on the car. The engine is not running yet will be soon just been putting anything nice and tidy on it. Dont no yet if the loom that iv got will work as it was converted for a metro gti not a r100 think i might have a charging problem with the alternator but yet to find out. Before i use the tro im going to get it on the rolling road so it is all set up nice im looking for about 140bhp out of the engine which will do me for now. cheers tom

Nice work mate.
But as I tell everyone who puts a 1.8 in a standard car... its not wise. Many folk on here will back me up on this.
Far better to have your car handling like a demon FIRST, rather than pulling like a demon and being quite unsteady with ya foot down.
Just take care.

Nicest handling r100 ive been in, its got a full GTI set-up on it wih a rear sub frame strut brace.

looking at the firt pic, it looks like he has already upgraded the brakes and put gti wheels on, witch was a good thing

My old gti was totally stock on suspension and brakes....oops

EDIT: Nice work on the engine conversion, car is looking schweeeeet!

Just a few pics of the car i am still doing it just a bit slow. i have fitted some spax adjustable shocks and i am just having the 160 mainifold heat raped, black stuff to looks better then the white will get a pic. also fitted a big air in take dont no if people will like it but i get nice cool air. will update more soon. cheers tom

if i was you i'd stick some mesh over it as you'll suck up alsorts i.e birds, plastic bags, the odd bird and loads of water too if you driving in the rain

Hi mate no should get it back this weekend yes your car is fine, i was cleaning the golf sunday so i gave it a claen to. looks good. Got the lsd box to now for the 160 engine. just dont no what to put it in.
