Mk1 did, they changed to cable at about Mk 2 but I dont know if it was exactly as the models changed, its easy to swap one for the other as the clutch is the same just the arm is different.

Only thing to watch for is you use the right length bolts or they go through and foul the ring gear and you will think the engine is siezed, well thats what happend to me anyhow!

Yeh its supposed to be up to 1985 with hydraulic clutch...i'm gonna use hydrolic clutch on my VVC and am going to use an MGF/TF master cylinder as it looks very similar to the old Metro one. It will involve some drilling of the brake servo plate, and making a linkage up to suit. HTH

I have been looking for an MGF pedal box as these look the same, the MGF has the brakes over on the pasenger side with a link bar accross the bulkhead but from what I have seen it looks posible to mount the brakes right onto the pedal box where they should be on the Metro and then you've got the clutch pedal you want.

The early metro pedal box should fit but beware not all models had servo'd brakes and you cant fit the servo without some work so you need a pedal box from a Mk1 1275.
