done some to the k series conversion list, moved the bend in the subframe engine mount back a few inches, should look standard once its powdercoated

plan tomorrow is to have the engine half mounted in the subframe, sitting as far back as possible on new mounts

very nice are you going to relocate the turbo? i know its a tad late but that halfords oil is w4nk!

are you building this as a sleeper or a track car?

how come you haven't used a tf subframe with coilovers?

I can't tell the difference between oils tbh lol

I cant see the point in tf subframes, hydrolastic are just as capable as the springs imo, and its easy to get your ride hight right

It will have some deepdish wellar wheels and some 175 50 13s, hopefully wont have to have any radiators sticking out the front so will need to move the turbo above the gearbox

this is going to be one insane metro to drive!
about 400bhp (isn't it?) to handle about 800kg car. that is about the same power to weight as my triumph daytona with me on it and that is pretty fast

It's around the 300bhp mark, but non the less it's still fast

Had a motorbike behind me whilst overtaking a lorry but he couldn't get past

Also similar speeds to the jaguar xk-r, at least that's what it looked like in the rear view mirror hehe

Plans have change for the little Austin, it'll no longer have the 1.4t going in, as i will be collecting a locost kit car tomorrow, so the Austins new role will be tow car!

If anyone wants the subframe I modified it's free to collect

Oh... I had plans for a tow car!!

Doable with a Metro for a lightweight trailer load...
but you'd probably get lynched for doing it!?!

Bushbury LandRover sold 2 such conversions to Dunstall Park racecourse for moving the starting gates!!

Hasn't the metro got a tow limit to 800kg?

Plan was to just get a a-frame and drag it to trackdays
