Hi all i have a GTI mpi and after using full throttle it cuts out when you put the clutch down and will not start until you open the fuel cap to let the pressure off any ideas what this could be, thanks

follow the pipe back to the tank and look or try and feed some long wire down there carefully just make sure its free to breath. Pressurising the tank will damage it over time, considering these tanks are old now and probably corroded too.
