Just had some new tyres fitted all round - nothing fancy but before doing so my steering was ultra stiff and no wonder. The tyres were all very old and had set like stone. The new rubber has a "16" manufacturing date and now the steering is very light. If your steering is stiff, and you'r pressures are correct try new tyres.

I don't know but two of them looked like original Goodyears. Like millstones they were.
