so stripping the purple car wasn't very fun as i loved the car as it was, but it had to be done for the new shell. there wasnt too many issues other than alot of rust and spider webs. i have removed everything apart from the engine and subframes now will be doing that next week ready for the arches and turrets cutting out. the hardest part will be the wiring as i have never seen so much in a little car! also need to work out which alarm is being used as there are 2 others which was used before.

also started stripping the rear of the new shell ready for the turrets and possible arches depending on the wheels fitting. noticed a little rust on the inner wheel arch but that will be cut out for the turrets anyway most of the parts are available too as i wont really need much of the car.

As a matter of interest, what did you pay for it?

It certainly looks like a VERY poorly executed example with idealogy from 10-15 years ago?

cost doesnt matter tbh bud, i got it very cheap to a point where i could keep the parts i want and sell the rest and still make a profit, just a shame the shell is too far gone, everything on the car has been done properly but hasnt been looked after. it really is a nice car but like you say its kinda like an old max power magazine car haha.

Gotta say I was never into max power magazine,
I was more of a fast car reader.
As for the car having a mindset from 10/15 years ago,
that's the era it was built in, so what do you expect.
I will stick up for the build quality tho,
everything was top notch until I lost the car when edge performance went under.
Even then it was close to getting it back to it's best,
but then Mr mig welded my sunroof and warped the roof badly.
A year later with a lot of work and a lot of filler it was painted again and looked great.
As much as I loved driving this car,
I'm now fifty and lost the interest in getting it finished. I felt it wouldn't be the same car again.
The last bill for this car was for £3000, and that was for all new floor, inner wings and sills,
So I was gutted for Arron when he told me the bad news, but he's put a lot of work in already and his enthusiasm for the project is great, I wish him all the best with his endeavour, and can't wait to see it finished.
