What do you suggest?

The best easy performance upgrade you can get is to replace the 1.1 k series with the 1.8 vvc engine (straight bolt in fit), you just need to adapt the loom or get a ready made one off someone. It will give you a rapid amount of power.
You can also do a 1.8 turbo swap, which seem quite popular as well.
As for looks, I'm not sure which model you have in regards to trim level.... A rear spoiler would be a good place to start, maybe fully colour coded bumpers or a GTi replica? set of alloys, (Spi cross spoke alloys are quite nice)

Location: SandyCroft | That all sounds brilliant, only downside is that I am only 19 and I really don't think my insurance would appreciate and engine swap, no matter how much I would love it!!
Im looking to individualise the suspension, colour coded bumpers and new arches welded in. |

Location: brighouse just shy huddersfield | I drive a 1.1 and it will keep up with usual corsa/Frog/polo etc. For insurance purposes I'd just stick with it for a year or so then do a vvc or similar conversion when the price drops a bit. |
