I have a mate trying to fit a mg as 1.8 coil pack engine, now I know how to get round the cool pack but the Ecu is completely different to any I've seen is this common and has he got a engine he cannot use easily any help would be much appreciated

All ZR's and ZS's 2001-2006 (mk1 and mk2) use mesm3 management(wedge shape ecu) on all 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 K series.
