very good, on a long run like motorway driving get atleast 39mpg and around town with stop/start average of 28/9mpg which is very good considering the performance you get

get about 37mpg on mine, but to be honest when buying a fast car, petrol is not one of the things i concider, when you shell out something in the region of 3-5 day on insurance, 50p or so on tax/mot then plus all the servicing costs.. a few pence extra on petrol is nothing

but the metro is very good on all the above and a very cheap fast car.
