Here is my 1983 1100 Metro. It is currently in track mode but I am in the process of making it a bit more family friendly. Came with a few spares like a KnN and bucket seats and a second hand wiper mech but lacking the nuts to hold it on with but never mind XD

Just in need of some rear seats and belts, back box and the nuts to hold the wiper mech in place.

Does anyone know if Rover Metro GTi front shocks will fit?
Tops are the same just don't know about the bottom.

I'm sure that only the MG Turbo 'A' series had the capacity to have front shock absorbers fitted. You would have to devise a way of fitting them.

all of the a-series has the fitting points for front shocks in the upper arm, you just need the bolt and the spacer. some of them are missing the reinforcement in the top mount but you can probably buy those from ralph.
is this really an 1100 metro? never seen an 1100 before. thought they were all 998 or 1275.

I nearly bought this when it was up for sale. I like the colour.

Here is a quick update on this Metro.
Decided to sell as I could not get to the bottom of this cars running problems. Turned out after a bit of research the car was a 998cc after all.
The engine in it also turned out to have been thrown together going by the buyers experience after he had bought it off me.
This car still lives on though. The chap who bought it drove it from Bristol to John O Groats and ran out of oil in Inverness. He is converting the suspension to use hydraulics and has a 1380cc lump to chuck in it. Will try to update this as he sends me info on the car XD

Send him the forum details as it sounds an interesting build.
with my a-series if its running poorly its probably the contacts in the distributor are slightly out.

The lump did turn out to be fried. I fitted a power spark coil and all new leads, dizzy and plugs.
Will forward the forum though XD
