Border Crosser Posts: 3232 Location: Carmarthenshire, Wales | Welcome to MP . Don't quote me on this but a VVC will not drop straight in. Not sure if it can be fitted with modifications. Put your location up via control panel.

Matt Parker (R119GTA) has a 1.4 K in the front of his pick-up... so one 'should' go in with enough stubbornness!?! What's wrong with a nicely tuned A-series though??

Expert Posts: 4458 Location: Jelling, Denmark | Welcome. I dont know what money you have spend on your current 1275 or how much you are willing to spend. But buying a vvc will most certainly be the cheapest way to more power. The standard bottom end should be well cappable of handling more than the standard power. My a-series has 90 hp at the fly and thats on standard internals. If I were you i would buy a ported head or have the current one ported and then fit a fast road cam. Those two things together with you carb should give you quite a big increase

Regular Posts: 116 Location: cwmbran ,wales | hi peeps thx for the info , as for how much money i have to spend well not alot at the moment as i am unemployed but i am a fabricator - welder looking for work so fingers crossed i will get one , as for my a series, i had it in the car when i bought it, the bottom end ws gone thats why i bought it very cheap, so i stripped it down and completely rebuild the motor yes the works rings, seals, bearings the lot , i did have it running in the car and it sounds sweet but then i got married and it went on the back burner so she sat in my garage for like 15 years now im divorced and have lots of time on my hands and now she is begging me to put her on the road but i will get some pics to show you all as soon as i can , but me being me i have stripped it again and now she is a bare shell again and thats why i was thinking of putting a vvc motor in it as i was going to rear wheel drive it with a 2ltr granada motor in and a floating back axel i have so many ideas for her its confusing me lol but thankyou for your feedback many thx from a old man hehehe
