Im thinking of putting a different engine in my mk2 metro.
Its gone tru 2 gear boxxes, and i kind of had it whit the a series.

I got my mind on a rover K-series 1,.4/1.6 or a Honda D16
Anny one don this before?
I'm no good at the search, since English aint my native language

The K-series metro is alot longer than the A-series so the K-series engine is not an easy swap into the A-series. Both K-series and B16 have been fitted but not much of the front end remains as much fabrication is required to fit it and all the running gear.

where are you from? Any pictures of your metro?

As a first pass you might want to look here as they could help answer all your questions.

www.watsonsrally.co.uk/

They done minis and metros for years.

I'm pretty sure you can put a Honda engine in a Mk II as it can be done in a Mini Clunman with no exterior changes, so a Metro must be easier.
