Just had the whole exhaust system replaced on my 1.1 1993 carb version and the whole, old system was completely rotten - after just 27k miles in 23 years. Putt - made to last eh? I am happy with the new system as it is very quiet but...whereas the tailpipe used to come out at a right angle to the rear of the car, this tailpipe is bent at about a 45 degree angle as it exits the rear box and points at the rear n/s quarter of the car. Any ideas anyone? Apart from "they've fitted the wrong one". The back section is the right part no AN536.

it would be quite difficult to fit the rear box wrong, most aftermarket exhaust boxes have a funky tail pipe that never really matches the original

the way the tail pipe exists is simply down to the exhaust manufacturer, so they vary between brands.
