Expert Posts: 2568 Location: Up in the lakes | One of my mates had a 900cc cinq. Was alot of fun! Would only pull to 50mph uphills, When I say pull I mean... Well... Urm... You know.., crawl to 50. But coming back down said hill, 90mph was pretty arse clenching. Good fun in fields and I remember the handbrake being awesome!

Ultimate 1400 Posts: 1024 Location: Bartley Green, Birmingham | A guy I know built up a 200 bhp 1.4 turbo (Uno engine) chiq and it was super! He did roll it in the end because of the power and short wheel base but God that was a fast car. Some people in the Birmingham area might of seen it down the wheels or Landor.

Expert Posts: 11052 Location: Wolverhampton | My mate had a "sex" model cinq. Complete with the chance of death meter, aka the speedo - when it reached 100 the chance of death was 100% obviously. Think we had it at about 99, hence still being alive.

Regular Posts: 284 Location: Swanley, Kent | lol love the death meter! Backbox and manifold turned up today for the Cinq. I didn't plan to mod it. Damn ebay!!! JoH ..... Got an issue on the spit on the wiring/fuel pump. The car fires up but then cuts out. Initially the fuel pump will prime as it should, then when the car cuts out the fuel pump turns back on for ages. Then when I turn the ignition on again the fuel pump primes for ages and the car won't fire up. Also the fuel pump seems to be wired up somehow with the lights stalk. Moving the light stalk alters the speed of the fuel pump. Will see if running a seperate feed for the fuel pump will work. Can't get the rad fan to work either. Was pretty sure it has wiring going to it, though have just noticed a stray wire in the loom labelled "fan". Hopefully it'll be an easy fix, although if it looks like it needs re-looming I'm thinking about biteing the bullet and doing a 1.8 turbo conversion on it

Expert Posts: 4458 Location: Jelling, Denmark | isn't there something about that this engine is essentially the same as the on in the fiat 127 or lancia/autobianci a112? (some sort of pushrod 8v thing)
