Yes and no, it's stored in a barn at present, and the car is literally full from floor to roof with spares, some of which will be needed and some will be skipped, and some other bits will be sold, but all need to be sorted through. Which I've started doing and boxing stuff up.

I'm off out to collect some parts for it on Saturday from a member off here. Then work out what else I need, it seriously needs a lot of bodywork issues sorting though. It's not rotton at all, but has been bashed around a fair bit. Once I get the shell straight and in to paint then it will be seriously moving on.

Trying to locate a roof skin for it at present and an OE OSR quarter panel and rear panel, then it's off to the bodyshop.

Well I've picked it up and just got home (got stopped by the police on the way back too, more on that later) Took a fair few pics, here's one to get you going if you do some digging. If you know the reg, you will know the car.

Answers on a postcard please.

Gotta scoot, as off for the weekend with the family. I'll upload the rest when I get back.

when my mate bought it it was on a private plate.

i question ive seen asked was why Pride 1 was left hand drive and pride 2 was right hand drive.

we asked the builder this when it was bought back in 1992 he said it was to do with balance, it was felt pride 1 was more comfortable on the left hand banked curcuit used for the land speed record, also with it been left hand drive the pedal box was nearer to the clutch bell housing and the brake pedal was right next to the servo so no need fo a cross over barr

what you dont realise these cars was a special preproduction models pride 2 did have a cross over bar, pride 1 didnt it was all these little differance they tried out prior and during the challenge, this was so they could ensure at least 1 car made the record.........

Time to drag this thread out of the graveyard!

Over the past few years, I've slowly been collecting a load of parts to get this car upto scratch. I just about emptied Rimmers of any bodywork parts they had, and they were dropped off at the bodyshop about 18 months ago now.

The bodyshop only started work on this in about February this year, and pleased to say the roof panel is now on and 100% poker straight.

However upon dismantling, they weren't happy with the rear panel, nor the front panel.

The car is currently sat in the bodyshop with its new roof on, not one single panel fitted, and the O/S/R quarter panel removed, and looking very sorry for itself.

I found a NOS rear panel from a previous MG Rover Dealership in Gloucester, they were very helpful with this and they couriered the panel to me. The Front panel however was an absolute nightmare to source, but amazingly I found a NOS panel on a second hand site a bit like Gumtree, the guy couriered that upto me and I'll be dropping it off at the bodyshop this week. So fingers crossed, they can start work on the car again in the near future.

Once I have some further pictures of the car, I'll update with some pics.

Well that's all the parts dropped off now. Just waiting on the rear quarter, rear panel and front panel being welded in, then it's ready for paint.
