After a year of sitting in my back garden i have finally got some time to try and get my metro finished for this summer and get back up to knockhill for some track days.

The car sat like this for a year. The last job i had done to it was fitting the compomotives and mgtf ap 4 pots:

I then moved the car to the my workshop to start stripping the car down for getting re painted white. I have decided to remove the brake servo and fit two remote master cylinders and a balance bar because the servo was in the way of where air box is going. Heres some pictures of what i've done:

I sold my old engine to pay for the new one. It was sold to a guy on the isle of white thats putting it in a mg midget:

I have also been building my new engine up over the last year and have just finished it:

my scholar 1900 block:

i have test fitted the engine to sort out some clearance issues with the radiator, make up an air box and measure up for fuel lines and breather:

I spent today fitting the radiator and sorting out the pipework which took most of today. I will get more photos of the progress posted up over the next few days if i remember to take some.

i like the pedal box location, keeps weight to a minimum and also the center of gravity as low as possible.

The last engine made 214 bhp and 161 lb-ft which I sold. The engine that is going in to the car I have built from scratch and the only things I kept from the last engine were the throttle bodies and the emerald.

I really like the nightfire red but i'm going to be painting it white like my old gti. I think it will look awesome with the anthracite compomotives!
