Just got a 1.1 k series want to make it into a quick fun weekend car, after reading bits on this site thinking I should have started off with a gta or gti?? what do you think?? PLEASE help its not too late for me to pull out of buying this 1.1 and waiting for a ta or gti HELP!!!!!

If your doing a engine conversion your best of starting with a gti mpi as you will have vented brakes, arb bars front and rear and it would also be mpi which is needed to make a engine swap easy.

Location: Gloucester		If your lazy your best starting with a GTi MPi,

but all the GTi MPi parts will fit any K-series Metro/100 just mean your have to upgrade alot more parts!

But I'd go for a MPi GTi as locating GTi parts can be very difficalt!

hello and welcome.. one thing.. if the shell on the 1.1 your looking at is sound.. it may be a good idea to still consider it.. Yes its easier to start off with a gti... but many are very sorry for themselves so many now are getting late r100's either 1.1 or 1.4 and starting from there..

Go for most fun and what ever you do leave it looking like a 1.1 obviously with something not so ickle under the bonnet..
