I am going to be hopefully buying a car to break for parts but need to know what I am looking for.

I want the gti dampners shocks and mounting plate etc to beef up suspension and control.

The vented calipers and discs

The front and rear anti roll bars

The gti body kit ie side skirts etc.

How do I get these off or would it be easier to ask a garage to do this and fit as I have no tools. If there is someone who lives near by and was some beer money I am off next week so I am planning on doing it then.

MOB: 07795 27 22 94

Cheers for any advice.

lmao.very funny.all you need is a screw driver for the body kit.and probably a normal little socket set with say 8-15 and thats the arbs and the shock top bolt is a deep 15mm.undeo the top bolt before the bottom or itl just turn the shock.happened to me.

yeah but a haynes manual doesn't come equipped with a tool kit does? Or has it got a page with spanners on that you cut out and selotape together? If i'd have known that I wouldn't have bothered spending £10k plus on all my snap-On and Mac gear

I managed to buy a basic 235 piece tool kit from a wholsalers yesterday for under £50-00 and it has some good stuff not everything but enough for a novice.

If I was a mechanic I would have a good kit but as I work in an office giving advice, talks and training I have a good computer set upat home in my office etc.

If you are raeding this "big" could you take a look at my other thread regarding the engine swap.

Cheers
