It's a Ford Focus 1.5 3 door with the 115ps 1.8 TDCi engine. Only got the dealer pictures at the moment until I get some better ones tomorrow.

It needs a hefty detail so I can't wait to start on it when the weather improves.

Plans, and no doubt will happen next year are lowered on coilovers, decat and remap and maybe black alloys but not sure yet as i've only just got it.

Pics!

Better pics to come! I'm well pleased with it though, I've seriously missed all the torque. 90 mile trip and the diesel gauge has barely even moved.

I'll let you guess and then I can see if I got a good price. It's done 119,000 miles though. It's the much rarer 3 door too.

Pretty much! Was listed at £1790 but got it down to £1650 which I think isn't too bad.

Ahh yeah, that would be the pre-face lift model too.

I'm quite surprised I got one that cheap as it's the most desired engine (of the mk1 focus'/foci whatever lol), and with 3 doors and a facelift. Chuffed.

A lil phtoshop of how I would want it looking after a while..

It's not as bad being a diesel but its too much mileage for me. Looks nice though, are you planning on getting another tro too?

Looks tidy, just don't yank the handbrake lever too hard as it's plastic and I snapped mine in half when I had a Focus (although haven't known anyone before or since who managed it apart from me )

Go for the larger 16" Zetec alloys if you can find them or the ST or Focus MP3 ones, makes a nice upgrade on a 3dr

Little update.

Bought some EGR cleaner and a pipe cleaner to clean my EGR with, won't clean it completely but it will help a bit.

Got my pressed plates through from eBay too. Really happy with them and cleaned the back end up a tad more.

The plates.

Back end before.

After.

Update time again.

So I received these today...

How they look now, completely standard obvs.

Started removing the front trim to allow the headlights to slide out.

All out. Simply 3 bolts to remove.

One side done!!

Looks odd without lights haha

Horrible orange indicators!

Started to heat the glue up with the hair dryer but it was taking ages

So I brought out the big guns. HA

10 mins later I removed and they simply peeled off from the plastic lense.

Lense before

And after.

Decided whilst I have the lense to spray the trim inside the hadlight black as it gives a much more aggresive front end.

Slit my finger with the stanley knife and also got loads of overspray on me when I primered haha

One primered, one sprayed black.

Started getting more colourful. oops. Gloves next time!

All done

And with the lense fitted.

Inside the glass.

And finally all sealed up and drying overnight whilst held securely with masking tape. Pics on the car tomorrow. Can't wait.

Any comments would be cool. Cheers.

Fitted my headlights back again today, along with blanking my EGR as I'm not a fan of having exhaust gases being re-circulated back into my engine...

Removed the masking tape, used Autosmart Tardis on the lense where some glue residue lingered.

This is the EGR blanking plate.

Very simple to fit, removed the EGR pipe by undoing 2 bolts. Pulled it back a bit as per the pic then cleaned the faces up so the silicone sealant has something to adhere to.

Easy.

Began fitting the lights.

One side in.

Other done.

All done. Pretty chuffed.

Before + After.

Looks really smart dude !

Done a lot on an impressive budget !!

I had a diesel once - they suck up the miles like reet beast ! Engine will be fine, just keep the oil an filter clean and the diesel filter - much more important with the fuel filter on diesel cars. The only thing to watch with huge miles is suspension joints, look in your history to see whats been done, check everything paying special attention to anything that hasnt been changed in a while. Think youll be fine dude

Right, decided today to crack on with some detailing after getting the new products as listed above.

Only got round to doing the rear O/S wing and that took me the best of 3 hours! No idea how detailers manage to do it all in one day? But I really spent my time trying to perfect the finish.

Used the chem guys white pad with #105 to get the swirls out then refined it down using a black chem guys pad and spot pads with #205. Around 90% corrected so thats all good!

Only had my mums N95 as I smashed my screen on my phone the other day on the bike haha oops. Sorry for ****e pics!

Swirls before

After. Bit of dust on the car too...

Reflection.

Orange peel is letting the team down drastically

After the pics I gave it one going over with SRP and then sealed with two coats of collinite #915. Pretty chuffed with the results.
