Cheers all! Well yeah obviously the BM is an improvement over the 25, however I had that when I was just 21 and it was amazing at the time and still drives an goes very well now... Will be sad to see it go as it is a good all rounder. But yeah the new beast is very nice... 6cyl Variable game turbo so its quicker than the 25 to 60 and absolutely storming after that!

That 43mpg was taking out steady over 7mls to work earlier in the week...and is showing 37mpg for this weeks average. Overall average since I picked it up a few weeks back is 42.1 Pretty good for the performance!

Yeah the idrive with in dash HDD is an amazing piece of kit along with usb input and built in CD ripping. At night driving with these lights is like driving in day light...a far cry from that of the Metros and R25 previous!

I didn't think I could afford one this age, but the advantage is that it is an early face lift model so is still the same as a 61 plate that you could buy out the showroom right now

Yeah the toys are a must have when buying a BMW after 2005 as everything is coded to the body ecu, so you just can't add things in like the sat nav! Been looking for a good year for 'the' 330d and was looking at older models in the darker lemans blue, until this newer one came up at the right price as it is technically high miles with 55k on the clock and 2.5yrs old.

Nice car, the power and mpg is impressive!

The police have an unmarked one in the same colour which looks identical to yours round here!

Yeah just the one private owner prior to me lol!

It is indeed german :-) The same people that brought quality into the MG Rover brand, I.e the Rover 75 and MEMs 3, Getrag gearboxes. The narrow mined MG rover enthusiast typically 'hates' BMW for buying Rover and then selling it on. However where and what would have they become without them... Rover 75 with the L-series rather than the 2.0 BMW lump? It wouldn't have been half the car that it was.

My indicators work on mine (LEDs not bulbs ) as I'm not a rep and isn't it Audi's these days that have had the indicators disabled?? Lol!

I still have good old Derv the 115sd with 7spoke MPI wheels and Silverstone trim. Currently looking rather sorry for itself but is due to be resurrected for the winter Plus the BM doesn't have the folding seats option... Yes its an option!!!

And of course I have my crashed 1.8si vvc which I'm in the process of reshelling into a fully restored shell. One day will be back the road!

I can appreciate its beauty, it really is a stunning car with plenty of toys to play with, but i'd never see myself owning a car like that! I bet it's like a spaceship after Rover ownership?

you say that now but as you get older your taste changes.

Looks really nice Ade, been looking at the estate version for me and the mrs', however ive just spunked £1k on the garden and paid some of the mortgage off, so ill be looking in next year i reckon.

Knowing you that will be near mint and end up even 'minter' very soon.

Cheers Gregg... It's not a minter but then I didn't pay minter money for it Few bits to sort on it and it will be closer!

Yeah you should keep the E90 touring on your list, plenty about that are well kitted especially if you're not fussed for a manual. 320d's are a bargain but obviously not got the poke or sound of a 330d.

Its got the right amount of doors for an e90 The e92 (coupe) with the same sort of spec is a fair wedge more than what i paid for this one. Coupe is a 4 seater too which makes it impractical for such a large car!
