Out of interest, got a MG ZT 1.8T, what are the engines worth?

Working out wether its quicker and easier to just break the car than try to sell it as paints isnt great and its got its problems.

Just seems like the market is flooded with them, more then they are required including my shed.
But yeah that's the max I would pay for one if I had to buy one

Wonder if it would sell though, thats my biggest concern.

Might sort a forsale thread, see if anyone wants it, if not i'll have to re-evaluate what to do with it, need the car gone.

First gear crunches, concentric clutch slave on its way out, exhaust rattles over bumps, cant be arsed with it.

I wouldn't as i like a spare or 2 Problem is its probably easier to buy a whole car as there cheap enough due to the High tax £260
a year! and not exactly econimcal on fuel to run. But they do drive very nice

Difficult decision, was there with my old petrol zt a few years back.
Good car but had minor issues.

Aye, and there worth so little that its almost easier to just break it, other downside is mines trophy blue and has laquer peel on the bonnet and wings.

Thought it was such a good idea getting a fairly luxurious car for what I thought was little money, alas, theyre worth zap and cost alot to fix, gearbox, clutch and concentric slave (possibly master) is going to be the best part of £400 in parts and I really, really cant be arsed to keep it.

Do you think this would drive any sort of distance? Any details on the mileage and the condition of the engine?

If you are buying to break I wouldnt worry about the clutch.
Worst that will happen is you have no hydraulics.
They last for ages in a state of almost knackered

exactly that, ive been using it as a daily for 2-3 months now, its only a pita when you come to slow traffic etc, clutch doesnt slip and its only on downshift to first that you really notice it, up the gears it doesnt crunch any but clutch feels like shite.

Its done 111k, had a headgasket, cambelt and waterpump at 93k, has has a full service at 108k inc a replacement turbo (not sure if new, seems legit)

It runs nicely, drives OK for what it is but just pisses me off crunching first, plus I want an estate as getting the bloody buggy in the boot opening is annoying as the mrs got a massive off-road buggy thing that is the size of the death star.

Occasionally you have to throw your foot under the clutch pedal and bring it back up as it gets stuck half way on return, then it will be "ok" then go back to being shit.
