Well a load more goodies come today. Got my r65u from tony so thankyou! My fuel pressure regulator come, poly bush bump stops, a set of mpi alloys that will be getting a full refurb, and my boost controller solenoid.

Also have Adrian making me my loom up soon so hopefully will just be a matter of putting it all together!!
Have the job of doing the head gasket on my Vvc r100 at the moment so that'll keep me busy

You using B&P in Sittingbourne for the blasting & coating?

I've not used them for any car stuff before, but they've been really helpful with work projects before - would recommend them

Those bits look so good! You know what, those powder coated bits, I would be tempted to apply some good bodywork wax to them! Collinite 476 is very good.

Why no journal for PP? lol

Hi guys! Been busy doing bits on there recently, subframe is finished and waiting to be bolted back into the car (pics will follow later) I have order my charge cooler and new discs and pads. Got alloys going in for powder coaters soon I'm thinking the standard silver or maybe white??

I have Sean doing some welding on the car soon and then hopefully it'll be ready to put together!!

Can't wait so some changes will be happening soon

Well I've received a few packages this week which nearly completes everything I need to get the engine in and running!!
My clutch come today !

As well as my flywheel, walbro fuel pump, water pump for the charge cooler and my 2 radiators!

Will be going down and treating all the rusty areas do the engine bay and hopefully get it a little closer to being ready to spray so I can fit the engine into the subframe and get it all in the car

Also my discs come today and they look good I must admit! Not bad for £65!

Now for the bad news...
Went to start prepping the engine bay today and decided I was
Going to take the front wings off, and behind the driver front wing was a nice
Bit of rust!!
Here's a few pics...

I can put two hand through the holes so tomorrow I'll cut it all out and have it welded up by my mate Sean when he doesn't the other list of bits luckily!!

I started to prep the front end though and it's turned out really well!! Just got some krust on the rusty places and then have it a good sand down and clean then sprayed with rust primer. Here's a few more pictures...

Here's a few pictures of the primer just needs flaring back and spraying with colour now

I'm happy with the results so far!! Also took the rear bumper off too find a hole in each corner

So they also need to be done! So tomorrow I'm hoping to clean my engine and gearbox and I have a nice surprise for the engine hopefully soon . That's all for today guys'

Thanks mate!! Yeah I wasn't too sure about the white but now I have a few ideas up my sleeve I'm hoping it'll stand out from the rest!

Will be buying my 3" outward rolled piper exhaust system in the next few days and also going to tidy the engine bay up with a pair of piper cam pulleys . Cams will follow after I run standalone ecu and get everything else finished!!

Today is my mums birthday so hopefully she won't moan with me stinking the drive out with gunk as I'm cleaning the engine and gearbox today and will be bolting it into the subframe

Good work Martin. All the little bits like the radiator holder grommets and bonnet rubber stays can all be bought new still from Rimmers. Small things but add to the 'mint' look in the end.

Radiator top brackets for the slam panel can be got new on ebay which will look nice and black with your nice and clean panel.
