Have a r100 with a 1.6 have fitted mgf front brakes and it goes and stops fine, however I have a issue with grip as the front wheels seem to be always losing traction , I have tried several different sizes and brands (all used though) what tyres are you using and what pressures , I have some individualising valves to fit as well , was also thinking of fitting some front/rear shocks thinking that they would stop the front from lifting up on acceleration ??? Please help cheers

Some sticky tyres are a must. What wheels and tyres are you using? Yoko a539s are good. Toyo roadpro r610 are better still but good luck finding them. What toe angle are you running? I found that to have quite a big effect on grip and handling. What gearbox ratios / final drive are you using? I'm using pg1 with c6 gear set and a torsen type b diff. Tbh I think all 16v metros would benefit from some sort of lsd.

Standard everything except mgf brakes I use the car everyday so need to find a happy medium between grip and cost I don't think I could afford to run yokies everyday what about firing of the shocks and individualising valves

A539's are nothing special or expensive. What size are you looking to run? These are worth a try https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/toyo/proxes-cf2/175-60-r13-77h-101112

Sounds like you have a lot of work to do to the suspension first.

The 1.6 was fitted as I tow a trailer what do I need to do to the suspension first I'm a welder/ fabricator so don't mind making bits ( had to make some spacers for the brakes )

And yours is a 1.8 there must be something wrong with mine as it's spins up the wheels too easy

Not individualised...
so the back end squat will displace fluid and lift the front end!

Sorting that has got to be the first mod!?

Ns2r in 185/60 is cheaper than a 59's and 100× better, obviously as they are a track tyre not amazing in the set while cold

Ah fair enough I'm on mgf cans up front with rods cut and back rods cut, so higher psi, indivualised, polypushed wishbones, fully polybushed back and front anti roll bars, gaz shocks up front, and will have a brace on rear subfrane too, so mines alright aha
