Recently did head gasket and cam seals. Everything fine except cam seals still leaking. After a few months took a drive for about 60 miles. On arrival engine sounded like a tractor, as though a lifter had gone or the timing was out. What are the possible causes as it's now stranded in WestonSMare. 1.8 solid cam.

Thanks for any advice
Paul

is the belt tight enough and the tensioner fitted correctly and working?
leaky exhaust or manifold gasket?
