My 1.1 24000 mile metro had had it's carb messed with before I got the car and it was running lean. I figure that my carb hasn't has time to wear yet so I've tried an experiment. I turned the mixture screw right in and then counted the turns out - 7.75 turns. I then turned it half way in just over 3.5 turns. The car runs much better and pulls like a train - sounds better too. I'll leave it like this for a bit and then have a look at the plugs. For an unmodified 1.1 it performs quite well.
