I just bought this 5as unit would this be the good one for my vvc conversion on my metty?
Part number = YMC104540

And there are no key fobs with it and it needs lining up with the ecu would it be a problem that the key fobs are not with it? And if i can get hold of some fobs witch one's do i need?

You need the 2-button fobs, I can source some if they are hard to find in your country.

RE your PM about Reyland, I don't have a price yet as my loom hasn't been finished - I suplied my own but they are finding a section of the loom that I didn't have I spoke to them today and they mentioned they were doing one for you

No I meant that they said they would be doing one in the future, not actually working on one now.

yeah i know that, but it wouild be cheaper and easyer to do it that way because i now have a ecu from a zr a %as from a 1997 214si and no fobs so the fobs come from another car and all parts need to be linked together somewhere. bud where i don't know yet.
So flashing the ecu that it doesn't need the 5as saves a lot of trouble.

Do you know a firm who does this?

Hi

If your car is a GTi and you are fitting a 5As you will loose the flashing indicators on arming.
The way to get over this is to fit a 5As from R200/25/45/400/MGF with the second white connector.

Also the cct to the horn is different. 3As switches 12V - 5As switches 0V. Relay required.

I am fitting a 5As to my GTi and just in the process of doing the changeover cct in AutoCad.

Will post this this weekend - should be ok at 100k down load for people to read.

Hi again

One other minor point is the operating frequency L is 433MHz -UK and Continent.

But as your are on the continent be careful of sourcing the fob - source it from UK.

On the Continent there may be some "rest of the world" fobs floating around.

Open fob - code for 433MHz is 1207.

"Rest of world" - 1239.

After looking at the MEMS 3 system a while back I deduced that YWB100970
is a YWB100710 with the relay removed for the lambda probe.

So yes either should be ok.
